6061 Aluminum Profiled Bedding Pillars For Boyds Wood Stocks

These pillars are for Boyd's rifle stocks, and will work for rifles with actions screws up to 1/4''. This is a set of 2 profile pillars only.
Pillar installation assists in accuracy, as it prevents crushing of the stock and prevents stress cracks. Pillars also keep the action from twisting or moving; consistency is key in accuracy. These are just the pillars, they are 1/2'' (.4995) in diameter and made of 6061 aluminum. These pillars are left long so that they can be trimmed to length by the installer, depending on the specific stock that you have. If the pillars are cut too short they will not do their job.

This a DIY kit. In order to utilize this kit you must drill out the stock, and "glue" these into place. Final fit and finish will need to be done during installation. A chamfer may be required on the bottom inner diameter of the pillars to allow for action screw fitment. A drill press is recommended.
These have a profiled exterior to create a mechanical lock while epoxying in place. Simply scuff up the exterior with some sand paper prior to installation and be sure to degrease.
