Boyds Platinum has a slender, somewhat open grip that is well defined, but does not extend too far below the toe line. The comb is parallel to the bore, which aids in scope use, and because of its straight-line design, minimizes cheek slap under recoil. Additional facial support is provided by a graceful cheek piece that blends perfectly with the overall shape of the buttstock. The forend is where the Platinum deviates from the Classic. The forend is round in cross-section aiding in the grip of the shooters forward hand.

ATTENTION CUSTOMERS: This stock is designed for the Savage Blind Magazine with Center Feed Action and a top bolt release. When you disassemble your action the magazine box will stay inside of the stock when the barreled action is removed. If the magazine box stays attached to the action you may need the Staggered Feed Model. Due to the many variations of trigger guards that have bed used for Savage Actions, Boyds uses a flat bottom metal design. Fitting for plastic and some metal models may be needed. All finished parts have been CNC inlet to Boyds House Action. Variations may exist from firearm to firearm, minor fitting may be required to get that perfect fit to your firearm.
