Recoil buffers are an easy and inexpensive way to eliminate damage of critical components by preventing the metal to metal contact of the slide or breech block with the frame. Made from a high density polyurethane formulated for maximum shock-absorbing characteristics, the recoil buffer is a drop-in part.

Installation instructions for AR15/M16 recoil buffer
1. Make sure firearm is unloaded.
2. Open action and remove recoil from buffer tube in stock.
3. Place buffer assembly in padded vise and drive roll pin holding existing buffer in place, out with punch. Remove old recoil buffer from buffer assembly. Replace with new recoil buffer.
4. With new recoil buffer in place drill a hole into the new buffer from each side of the buffer assembly, using existing holes in buffer assembly as template. Reinsert pin into the recoil buffer/buffer assembly.
5. Reinsert buffer assembly into buffer tube and reassemble rifle.
Buffer will not be damaged by oils or solvents.
