Our Buffer Technologies recoil buffers are an excellent way to reduce parts wear and recoil of your firearms. Polymer recoil buffers prevent the metal on metal impact of a firearms bolt or slide from impacting the fame while firing. Our Buffers are made from Estane 58130 which won't be affected by common firearm cleaners and should last for hundreds and hundreds of rounds. Buffers will need to be replaced eventually, but the reduction of wear and recoil they provide makes them a valuable firearm accessory
The Smith and Wesson Recoil Buffer eliminates the metal to metal impact of the slide and frame. This unique buffer fits over the recoil spring and guide when the pistol is reassembled and is set in place against the frame the first time the action is cycled. Installation of the Smith and Wesson Recoil Buffer will result in reduced felt recoil, enhanced muzzle control and a longer service life. The Smith and Wesson Recoil Buffer will fit all center fire models of the third generation guns. This product will not work in the Sigma line of pistols.

Really helps save wear and tear on the gun
I wish the buffer would last longer. That's the only take away. Other than that, this buffer is great!

Buffer for SMITH & WESSON center fire pistol
This buffer fits a 5900 series S&W pistol well. No problems with the installation or function of the pistol after installed. I believe there's a slight reduction in felt recoil, but nothing fantastic. I do recommend it.

Amazing Product
I purchased this for my S&W 1006. A worthwhile inexpensive modification that makes a huge difference. I was constantly grouping 4in or less with 150 grain self defense ammo at 50 feet. While these are tiny, they reduce the recoil by that much! Shooting a 150 Grain bullet was like butter. I upped it to 180 Grain self defense and found my only reason I wouldn't give this 5 stars. The fit is slightly off (and this may be just for my model). I noticed it fits in perfectly with the small grove on the front but can slide back and turn sideways, changing the point of impact on the bushing and changing the amount of recoil. When I originally emailed customer service/support, they were very quick to reply and guarantee a refund if the fit wasn't to my liking. I appreciated the speed and offer so I made the purchase. I'm glad I did. Overall, I'm very pleased and willing to bet this is probably the best modification possible to any weapon.
