      The Boyds guard is 100% better than the plastic that came with the classic stock!

      Y'all need to review your description about this guard, it reads that the material is steel but the actual part is aluminum, not a big problem for me!

      Trigger guard was a perfect fit. Looks great and belongs on a nice rifle. I'm not a fan of plastic parts.

      Bought this for my 10+/- year old Savage Axis 270 with the plastic stock. This fits into the replacement Boyd's custom stock perfectly. It's "almost" an exact replica of the plastic guard. Buy it!

      The stock improved the accuracy of my savage 308 from 6 in at 100 yards to 1 in at 100 yards. Made me happy.

      Part was a Boyds, fit firat time into Boyds stock but careful of the torque as the steel part is slightly thinner and may push on the action slightly creating a sticky bolt situation. I will be getting the pillar kit later.
