Power Custom Fully CNC’d from Billet Steel SKS Competition Extended Magazine Release.
It allows you to easily get a hold of the magazine catch for quick and easy removal of your magazine.
1. Make sure your rifle is unloaded and ensure that there is no ammunition in the chamber.
2. If you have a TAPCO composite stock remove the pistol grip with a 3/8 socket. If you are replacing the magazine catch on the original continue to step 3.
3. Press in the trigger group latch to remove the trigger group.
4. At the front of the trigger group a pin retains the mag catch. The magazine release is under tension; use caution when removing the pin. Remove this pin by using a punch or press to drive it 95% out, this makes reinstalling the pin easier. Once the pin is clear replace the magazine catch with the new Power Custom fully CNC’d extended Magazine Release. Make sure that the spring is both on the rod of the catch, and in the dimple inside the trigger group. The ridges on the trigger group should ride within the channels on the latch. The retaining pin can now be reinserted.
5. The trigger group can now be reassembled on the rifle. Make sure that the trigger group latch instep 3 fully engages with the trigger group.
Works with standard SKS magazines only.
Will not work with SKS rifles that accept AK-47 magazines, such as the Model M or D.
