Classic

The Classic is a compilation of the design elements we have found to be the most elegant and user friendly examples of the classic style. The slender, somewhat open grip is well defined, but does not extend too far below the toe line. The comb is parallel to the bore, which aids in scope use, and because of its straight-line design, minimizes cheek slap under recoil. Additional facial support is provided by a graceful cheekpiece that blends perfectly with the overall shape of the buttstock. The forend is flat/oval in cross-section, and is proportioned to complement barrels of 22-26 inches. 

 Classic Features:

• Sleek beveled hand-conforming forend that is flat/oval in shape allowing superior palm to forend weld to help improve off hand shooting

Barracuda

The Barracuda is one of the original “skeletonized” stocks designed for the rimfire market. Today Boyds offers this shape in a variety of makes and models of rifles. The Barracuda is a lightweight design that utilizes a hand conforming thumbhole and grip to assist in the stability and control of the rifle. This is a right hand stock only. The completely free-float barrel improves accuracy and helps in heat dissipation from the barrel. This design is lightweight enough to carry on a hike, flashy enough to draw attention at the range, and comfortable enough to shoot all day.

Featherweight Thumbhole

The FT's design is a synthesis of design elements requested by you, the customer, for a thumbhole design. With a large rollover cheek piece for scope usage and straight comb design to minimize cheek slap when shooting, the hand conforming thumbhole allows for increased accuracy while distributing the recoil among the palm and shoulder thus minimizing muzzle jump and felt recoil. The forend is proportioned to nicely complement barrels from 21 inches to 25 inches in length and will accommodate barreled actions with standard sporter contour barrels. Larger barrels up to a tapered varmint design can be inlet in these stocks. The forend also has side vents which permit the free floating barrel to cool efficiently for those long days at the range. 

Featherweight Thumbhole

• Tight tolerance of wood to metal fit to ensure accuracy

Pro Varmint

The Pro Varmint was designed by Boyds to meet the requests of our customers who were looking for an affordable tactical design for their rimfire rifles. The beavertail forend allows for greater stabilization off bags, but is still trim enough for general purpose shooting. The dual purpose butt hook allows for greater control of the stock and firearm, with your non-trigger hand, and allows for a better grip on the rear bag when shooting from the bench. The Monte Carlo comb brings the shooter's cheek up for use with larger scopes and comes with an ambidextrous grip that allows either hand to assume a more natural position. The slight palm swell on either side provides for a more comfortable grip.

Pro Varmint Features:

• Longer forend can be used with 18" to 24" barrels
• 2 - front and 1- rear swivel stud provided for rapid assembly and disassembly of bipod mount.

Rimfire Varmint Thumbhole

Boyds RVT stocks sport a straight rollover comb that is parallel to the bore which aids in scope usage and minimizes cheek slap under recoil. A sleek hand conforming thumbhole grip is well defined with slight palm swell that puts your hand in its most natural position for comfort as well as recoil absorption, further reducing muzzle jump. A beavertail designed forend is oval in shape, allowing superior palm-to-forend weld to improve off-hand shooting, yet wide enough to ride the bags for a session at the range. The RVT also has side vents which permit the free floating barrel to cool quickly. The forend is proportioned to compliment barrels 18-22 inches in length and can be opened up by the customer to accept customer barrels up to 1 inch in diameter if desired.

Rimfire Varmint Thumbhole Features:

• Material under barrel channel has been removed to improve the balance of the firearm
• 1/2" Rubber recoil pad installed for quick non-slip mounting
• Comes with 2 front and 1 rear blued swivel studs 
• No sharp edges on bottom of stock gives a sleeker design and helps when shifting or turning stock in shooting sticks
• Average weight of 2.3 lbs. which allows for great balance of rifle
• The overall length is approximately 32"
• The length of pull is 13 3/4"
• Laboratory acid-based finish-proven to resist chemical damage and harsh treatment from the elements

Heritage

The Heritage follows the design of the Prairie Hunter. This design sports a Monte Carlo comb that is slightly raised to parallel the bore to aid with proper cheek alignment for scope usage. Nicely blended flutes in front of the comb conceal the thumb and prevent thumb to nose contact when the gun recoils. A graceful cheek piece provides additional facial support and is blended beautifully into the stock and grip which discourages the shooter from climbing up onto the scope and keeping the stock aligned with the shoulder for superior recoil absorption. A slender and slightly open oval pistol grip with slight palm swell is well defined with the comb to give you a firm grip, allowing quick mounting to the shoulder and aiding with proper eye position with the scope. The forend is where the Heritage deviates from the Prairie Hunter. The forend is round in cross-section to allow for the addition of a checkering pattern that wraps around the forend and aids in the grip of the shooters forward hand.

Blaster

The Blaster's unorthodox appearance is the result of having been designed with one goal in mind, pure functionality. Here's a replacement stock that gets the most out of the shooter behind it by providing the anatomically correct head and hand positioning possible for maximum steadiness. The Blaster has become the stock among rimfire silhouette shooters. The Blaster features a comfortable hand-conforming thumbhole and forend to greatly assist in the accuracy of shooting. This silhouette design is excellent for serious competitors or simple recreation. It features a high comb for large-diameter scopes. The comfortable hand-conforming thumbhole and flared forend assist in the distribution of firearm weight through the fingers, wrist and shoulders, creating accurate off-hand shooting over standard designed gunstocks.

Prairie Hunter

The Prairie Hunter design sports a Monte Carlo comb that is slightly raised to parallel the bore which aids with proper cheek alignment for scope usage and also has nicely blended flutes in front of the comb to conceal the thumb and prevent thumb to nose contact when the gun recoils. A graceful cheek piece provides additional facial support and is blended beautifully into the stock and grip which discourages the shooter from climbing up onto the scope and keeping the stock aligned with your shoulder for superior recoil absorption. The RT sports a sleek, hand conforming thumbhole grip which is well defined to a slight palm swell that puts your hand in its most natural position for comfort and absorbs recoil, further reducing muzzle jump. A beavertail designed forend is oval in shape, allowing superior palm-to-forend weld to improve off-hand shooting, yet wide enough to ride the bags for a session at the range. The forend is proportioned to compliment barrels 18-22 inches in length and can be opened up by the customer to accept customer barrel up to 1 inch in diameter if desired.

Rimfire Hunter

The Boyds RH is a synthesis of design elements requested by you, the customer, which have been incorporated by our highly skilled design team, into this non-thumbhole, ambidextrous, all-purpose design. The RH features a Monte Carlo comb that is slightly raised to parallel the bore. This aids with proper cheek alignment for scope usage and also has nicely blended flutes in front of the comb to conceal the thumb. A slender, slightly closed grip with slight palm swell on both the right and left sides enables any shooter a firm but relaxed grip. A beavertail designed forend is oval in shape, allowing superior palm-to-forend weld to improve off-hand shooting, yet wide enough to ride the bags for a session at the range. The forend is proportioned to compliment barrels 18-22 inches in length and can be opened up by the customer to accept customer barrels up to a diameter of 1 inch if desired.

Rimfire Hunter Features:

• Material under barrel channel has been removed to improve the balance of the firearm
• 1/2" Rubber recoil pad installed for quick non-slip mounting

Spike Camp

Spike camps in the backcountry are a strategic necessity to tipping the odds into your favor and allowing you to do more with less. When we started developing this new design, we set out to product a high-quality, extremely comfortable, lightweight, essentials-only stock.  Performance of a free-floated barrel, standard sling studs, and thumbhole grip give you everything needed to achieve success while keeping size and weight down.

Spike Camp Features:

The AR-15 stock set brings a new flare to the AR platform. Extending the lines of the rifle into the stock creates an aesthetically appealing firearm. The buttstock is a modern twist on the traditional A2 style. The hand guards are machined to a contour that compliments a shooters hand as well as shooting bags. A choice of a finger grooved or smooth grip allows for individual shooters to choose a design that will help them gain maximum control of the rifle.

Sterling Thumbhole

The recoil-absorbing characteristics of the high comb and straight-grip thumbhole make the Sterling design well suited not only for the serious trap shooter to whom endurance is a factor in competitive shooting, but is equally practical in an upland game or turkey gun.

Field Design

The Boyds Field Designed buttstocks and forends provide an economical means of breathing new life into proud, old guns. To uphold the nostalgia of these firearms, Boyds has recreated stocks inspired by the traditional appearance of these older firearms. The Field Design buttstocks and forearms are finished to replicate the appearance of the traditional oil rubbed finish.
