The Lightweight THM Tension Barrel sets the standard for what a lightweight barrel should be. It features a sleeve that is used to create tension on the barrel itself. This unique design eliminates issues typically found in smaller barrel profiles. The THM tension barrel consists of a special taper honed match barrel and chamber. This is the ultimate lightweight barrel.

Nice upgrade
Had great luck with it, had to re zero the .22 again but after that the grouping was better than before. Super easy swap and also very very high quality part.

Such a great improvement - quality product!
What an amazing upgrade to the MP 15-22! Looks amazing, great fit, and Volquartsen has excellent instructions on their site. I already upgraded the firing pin and extractor so it's nice to have a spare. Also, thanks for dropping it in the mail almost immediately after I placed the order. I must have caught you at the right time because I was shocked at how quickly you printed the label and USPS received the item. I know that's probably the exception but much appreciated!

Great upgrade
We had had issues with the 15-22 jamming up on us. Thought the barrel upgrade with a new extractor may help the situation and it has. No only does the gun feel lighter and more balanced in your hand after and out 300 rounds our feed issues have gone away. Great upgrade, I’m happy we did it.

Volquartsen 15/22 barrel
I use my S W MP 15/22. For steel challenge. This barrel has made my rifle so light After installing it when I picked up the rifle all I did was smile. Perfect combination and excellent accuracy Worth every penny

Volquartsen M&P 15-22 barrel
Excellent barrel. Super lightweight, looks great, easy to install. Race Rifle has the best price, and it came with the Volquartsen firing pin (which is necessary), and the extractor. You will have to zero in the gun after you change the barrel, which should go without saying. But shooting is why you get this in the first place.
