Boyds Spike Camp stock
I recently got the Boyds Spike Camp stock in the Woodland Camo for a Savage Mark ii .22. I purchased the gun at Walmart for a whopping $156. I knew the gun was cheap and didn't expect it to compete with better quality rifles. My first groups with various ammo were poor. Maybe 1 1/2 at 25 yards. I've read these guns shot well but mine didn't. The stock seemed to flex and I wondered if that contributed to the problem. I decided to dress up the cheap rifle with a Boyds stock after seeing one on line and realizing it was made in a configuration that would fit my rifle. I had previous experience with Boyds stocks for many years ago. They were high quality and really gave a gun a new look. Anyway, I received the stock and installed it on the rifle. At the ra ge, I could see a huge difference in group sizes. The groups tightened tremendously. The stock feels great in hand and is comfortable to hold on target.. The colors in the lamination really look stylish. Night and day difference between the cheap black plastic to this stylish laminate wood design. Needless to say, the rifle now looks great and shoots great. So my $156 Walmart Special is now ready to slay a few squirrels when the season gets here.

Great fit
Stock fit perfectly. High quality wood. The only reason for a 4 star rating is the butt pad wasn’t centered
