At LAST a fantastic upgrade for the Savage "G" series rimfire rifles with the plastic trigger guard that sits on top of the stock and held on with the 2 little wood screws! This all aluminum trigger guard can be easily fitted to a number of rifles. Minor fitting will be required because the cheap plastic bends to fit the stock where the aluminum replacement will not. Black anodized finish

Dip products Savage G series aluminum trigger guard.
This worked better than i thought it would; no mods, no redrilling holes or filing out holes; it lined right up and screwed right down on my savage Mark 1 Y rifle. I tried to buy this from the DIP products website; but they do some nasty things; they only ship USPS, they make you sign up for the News letter as a condtion of buying from them and they are generally unpleasant people to deal with. I had them Delete my info; as i never asked to create a profile, or sign up for anything. I was going to just use my Mark 1 Y with a "glued and jb welded" trigger guard, when i found RS Precision; they held the line and did not charge me excessive, create useless spaming profiles, or be stupid with the customer. I would buy from them again. but not Dip products directly; too hard to deal with..........
